Here at Portico, we have focused on providing eLearning solutions to government and corporate entities since 1998. We specialize in courseware management and custom eLearning courseware development, and have implemented both our courseware and our learning management systems successfully in a wide range of technical environments. Our company currently provides eLearning to many companies spanning many industries, worldwide. Our approach to every solution is to match training initiatives to our clients' business objectives and strategies, enabling us to add value to their enterprise. We believe that design helps render technology usable and plays a vital role in the continued success of eLearning, not only in the form of aesthetics but also in the form of functionality. Our work continuously reflects our commitment to excellence and our products are designed to make a difference.

Our History

Formerly known as Flying Fish Creative Services; we began development of our proprietary systems in 1999. 2000 saw the initial release of our Learning Management System, CareerMap, as well as, the launch of our first regulatory compliance courseware library. In 2004, we released CareerMap 2, our second generation Learning Management System, available in either a corporate, client-side solution or a hosted solution. In the fall of 2006, we released our proprietary Talent Management System bringing an online solution to assist companies in managing their human capital. Now for 2008, we have launched our revolutionary Learning Management Express, ‘LMXonline.’ LMX brings the ease of eCommerce to eLearning while providing the benefits of a learning management system. LMX allows individuals and corporate entities to purchase anywhere from one courseware title to any number of courses from the offered catalog and utilize the included learning management system functionalities.

We are proud to be a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner which means we have met or exceeded the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies, and have a close working relationship with Microsoft.

We have won numerous awards for our custom courseware development and our staff holds a litany of certifications reflecting our expertise in various technologies.

Leadership

Lee Pryor, Chief Executive Officer

Lee has many years of experience as a founder and Chief Executive for start up and late stage entrepreneurial companies. He began his career with Time Warner. He then moved to IBM in mainframe sales. He left to found a computer supply company that grew to 55 sales people, over 300 employees, and $48 million in sales.

After selling the computer business, he ran five private and public companies. These emerging and late stage companies were in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, Internet database publishing and marketing, online on demand printing, computer supplies distribution, and technology contract manufacturing.

Lee is the author of "The Savvy Entrepreneur, an Insider's Secrets to Managing for Success." He is an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business, is a business executive coach for emerging enterprises, has an entrepreneur column in BIZ News, and is a speaker on the topic of entrepreneurship at venture capital conferences, association meetings, and business schools.

He is also on the Board of Directors of CaminoSoft of Los Angeles, a publicly held software company as well as the Board of the Louisiana Technology Council, where he is Director of the LTC Recovery/Incubator Center which is funded by the Louisiana Economic Development Commission.

Karl Cantrelle, Vice President, Production

Karl has over 13 year of experience in developing computer-delivered training in a variety of industries and formats. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Graphic Design. As head of Production, he leads an experienced creative team in planning, design, programming, and delivery of eLearning initiatives.

Sulin Liu, Vice President, Technical Services

Sulin has over 10 years of experience in application development. He is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), as well as a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA). He is also proficient in Oracle technologies and the SCORM Standards. Sulin manages all CareerMap™ development, upgrades, and implementations.

Elizabeth Taylor, Customer Relations Manager

Elizabeth is a graduate of Howard University and has over 14 years experience managing and working within the Customer Service and technical support area. She holds a BA Degree and takes great pride in providing clients with solutions-oriented technical and service support. She is especially adept in the planning, analysis and implementation of CareerMap™ and CareerMap 2™.

Melissa Terrell, Instructional Designer

Melissa holds a Master's of Science in Vocational Education and a Bachelor's of Science in Human Resource Development from Louisiana State University. She has over 7 years experience in the areas of Adult Education, Program Development, and Instructional Design.
